Busy, busy, busy
February was a busy month for us. Mom came to visit for 2 weeks. Jeff and Staci came for 8 days. We threw a party. All sorts of family and friends came to see Marcus and the new house. On top of that, we’re still getting settled into the house and trying to get into a routine with Marcus. All in all, it was a good – but busy – month.
Marcus is getting bigger and bigger. You can almost see him growing. At his last checkup, he weighed 5.1 kg/11 lbs and is 58 cm/23 in. He’s already moved up one size in diapers and is about to go up another. And he’s starting to grow into a lot of the “too big” clothes he was given. He makes a lot more noise now than he did before and he’s now added being awake to his repetoire of eat, sleep and poop.
Now that the weather is turning Spring-like, we’re looking at getting started on the garden. We’ve contacted quite a few companies about clearing out the trees and bushes from the yard. We’re also planning what we want to do. Saturday, we took a walk around and made a simple map of the trees we want to keep, where the fence needs to be fixed/replaced and laid out where the hot tub and Petanque/Bocce court are going to go.
On a side note, the lack up pictures is due to Jeff and Staci making off with our camera. In all fairness, we have the same model camera. Theirs is just a slightly newer model. They claim they sent it back to us, so hopefully it will arrive soon and the picture taking can commence.
