First holiday by plane (part II)
After our Washington visit, we flew to San Francisco to meet up with family and friends.
Grandma and grandpa met Marcus for the first time.
Just before we left on holiday, it was Father’s Day in Belgium for which Jon received a nice picture of Marcus. For the US Father’s Day 2 weeks later, we all went out to dinner downtown San Jose. I bought Jon a t-shirt saying “Men who change diapers rule!” and one for Marcus saying “You think I’m cute, wait till you see my dad” 
The dinner was lovely and GG had a blast keeping Marcus entertained.
Shortly after our arrival in California, Marcus broke out with a very mild case of the chicken pox which he got from his cousin in Belgium. Marcus had his first house arrest.
Luckly GG just retired from work and was happy to look after Marcus. Jon and I went several times over to Aunt Linda and Uncle Byron’s to cool off in the pool.
We even convinced grandpa to join us!
On the McLennan side of the family, Jennifer has two children (Dallas and Farrah). They all loved paying with Marcus.
Jon’s best friend from high school, Marco, admitted that he was jealous. (sorry Branka to put you under pressure!)
Gloria organized an 80′s party for her birthday. We all had a very good time!
We also had dinner with our friend Barry. He has to come visit us some time in Belgium!
This holiday was very relaxing. A round of golf on our old golf course brought up some old memories and made us really miss the Bay Area.
It’s sad that we stayed for the last time in GG’s home in San Jose – She is moving to Columbus, Ohio. When we will visit California next, is hard to say.
