First trip to Amsterdam
On Tuesday, March 20th, Jon, Marcus and I went to Amsterdam where Jon started a new project for work. While Jon works, Marcus and I could relax and enjoy the scenery.
We stayed at a nice hotel just outside the city center. (The tallest building.) As you can see, we had beautiful weather! On this picture you can also see how popular those boathouses are.
I started off visiting the Vrije (free) University of Amsterdam where Staci is planning to go to school.
Very quickly I was reminded that the Dutch do everything by bike – you see them everywhere!
After a short visit to Amstelveen (a small new town closeby the university), I jumped on a tram which didn’t go where I planned to go, but this mistake made me discover this nice square where many people where gathered to play some sports or just relaxed. It’s the rijksmuseum – the largest museum in the Netherlands.
On the second day, Marcus and I took a metro to the center of town and walked and walked and walked everywhere – never really knowing where we were – that was fun 
Marcus now smiles almost constantly:

And Marcus discovered his hands and loves to eat his fingers =(
When his GG (Gorgeous Grandma) gave the Giants (baseball) outfit as a present, I thought it wouldn’t fit till later in the summer months…I was wrong, it is now just his size…I can’t believe how fast Marcus is growing!
